I have a coupon for 10 off 20 at NAPA, so the price would be 12 dollars for synthetic and filter. Worth it for an '07 Honda Accord?
Also, that is an application to work at NAPA on the left there 3:)
Also also, you can get some cheap deals on Gojo...

Eh. I've alway long held the belief that the three areas that you never skimp on are (in no particular order), tires brakes and fluids, especially oil.
Spend the extra cash and get the good name brand synthetic.

I wouldnt unless its got 250K+. Its 12 bucks now but later it will be 30-40 depending on the deals and once you have gone Synthetic it is a very VERY bad idea to back to conventional. just sayin

Why is it a bad idea to go back to conventional?

I did a thing on oil filters a while back and I believe the Napa gold and Wix are the best filters you can get.
Synthetic is good if you are going to keep up with it and have a lot of km's

I've never found anything that indicates that synthetic oil is objectively better for your engine compared to modern conventional oil. I believe that the only real benefit is that synthetic allows an extended oil change interval. I'm not very familiar with late model Hondas, but if you're going to change the oil at the interval in the owner's manual, and the manual doesn't recommend synthetic, I think I'd just get a good quality conventional oil.
I like Chevron Supreme best, but if I can't find that I'll get Shell if it's an older car that takes a heavier grade, or Napa Gold or Castrol otherwise.

How many miles on the car?
Have you ever put in synthetic?
Sometimes your car can start to leak oil when switching to synthetic.

Ok its not as bad as I made it out to seem but the oil compositions are different. Convention comes from Crude oil. Synthetic is modifying molecules to make a new compound. Synthetic also does not break down in high heat and at cold temp a lower viscosity than regular (lower is better)
here is the best way it described
"Early synthetics got a bad reputation for leaking. This was because, despite the claims of the oil manufacturers, the seal-swell characteristics of the new synthetics were different from those of the mineral oils they replaced. If the seal-swell rate was lower, the seals shrank and oil leaked from crankshaft seals and rocker cover seals. If the rate was higher, the seals swelled a little extra and the engine was tight. Then if the owner changed back to mineral oil, or added a quart when no synthetic was to be had, things got really bad. The crank seals had become worn, in their turgid state, and then relaxed. The valve cover seals were compressed when swelled, and when the different oil was added, everything leaked like, well, an old English sports car."
It is slightly different now, Synthetic is way better of an oil now and i believe it has a much better seal swell than regulat. I agree if you run if for once or twice its not bad but if the car is running for a long time on synthetic and then go back to regular the car becomes an "old English sports car". And i have seen this play out for me. My 92 Accord with 330k is a good example. It was leaking from most of its upper gaskets and i think the reason the previous owner got rid of it. The owner who had it for 6 months used regular oil for the previous oil change (99% sure). I chaged it with Synthetic and we cleaned the engine as much as possible to see the leaks and right now a very small leak at the valve cover gasket.

I made its sound way worse than it is. Its alright if you keep switching but if you want to stay with synthetic for a couple changes and then try and go back its bad. My reasoning was in my other comment .
